“Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God” Ephesians 2:19
Purpose: Our purpose is to help co-ordinate the efforts of all members of this congregation to know each other and be attentive to the needs of all.
Reason: We have divided our congregation into four different care groups. Every member is assigned to one of these care groups so more responsible attention can be provided to all of our members. This allows a more condensed group to be attentive to the needs of each other.
How are we involved: Everyone is assigned to a care group and is encouraged to meet with their group every Sunday evening after service for a few minutes to get their assignments, if necessary, or become informed with what their group is doing. Some of the functions of this group are to provide food in case of deaf of family members, encourage the sick or distressed, making plans for bridal teas, baby showers, and again, enjoy the fellowship of each other in a smaller group. These groups are reassigned each year for more diversity in the congregation so each member can be involved with different families.
